History of the microwave oven.
In today's world, the microwave oven is one of the most effective kitchen tools for housewives, contributing significantly to human meals and engaging in the culinary arts development.
Microwave ovens were invented very casually as many other inventions in human history. In 1945, an American engineer working for Raytheron Corporation, Percy Spencer, noticed that the chocolate candy bar in his pocket melted when he was near the radar machines at an observatory. The strange thing that made him think and began to learn. Percy Spencer's first microwave oven cooking test was with popcorn, the second was an egg.
To verify his findings, Spencer created a high-density electromagnetic field by feeding a magnetron-powered microwave into a metal box. When food is placed in a box with microwave energy, the temperature of food increases rapidly. On October 8, 1945, Raytheon filed for US patent application for Spencer's microwave cooking, and the oven powered by a magnetron microwave oven was soon placed in a restaurant at Boston for testing.

The first time the public was able to use the microwave was in January 1947, when Speedy Weeny vending machines were placed in the Central Station to split the hot dog.
The first microwave oven was built by Percy in 1947, weighing 750 pounds, nearly 5 feet high, costing $ 500. In the furnace, electromagnetic waves are unevenly distributed and there is a hot spot (around the furnace) where there is less heat (between the furnace). So in the middle of the furnace, food was slowly ripping around the oven. When cooking, place food in a circle, large food items, thick rolled out. The limitations of microwave ovens in the early stages have gradually improved over the course of technological development. Microwave oven is increasingly popular and becomes an indispensable tool of the kitchen.

The sales of 40,000 microwave ovens to US industry in 1970, up to one million in 1975. By 1986, about 25% of US households owned a microwave oven. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that more than 90% of US households owned a microwave in 1997.
Microwave technology has evolved and more and more technology companies are participating in the research into this wonderful kitchen. By the 21st century, perhaps no family kitchen does not have a microwave oven.

The history of microwave development has always been improved and more and more adapted to the needs of human use. Today new features have been developed that make your food tastier and safer. Join forbestkitchen to share interesting things about our microwave oven
